Building a Content System You Can Actually Sustain
Gemini LTD4 min read

Most content efforts fail the same way. They start with enthusiasm, produce a run of good pieces, then stall when the person responsible gets busy with client work. The output was never the problem; the lack of a repeatable process was.
Consistency compounds and inconsistency resets. Search engines, audiences and algorithms all reward a steady signal. Two posts a month for twelve months builds something; ten posts in January followed by silence does not.
Separate the pipeline into stages: ideas, drafts, review, publish and repurpose. Each stage should be a small, defined task that a specific person owns, not a vague intention to do content.
Keep a running idea list so you never start from a blank page. Client questions, sales-call objections and the things you explain repeatedly are your best topics, because you already know the audience cares.
Batch the work. Writing four short pieces in one focused session is far more efficient than one a week, because the cost is mostly in switching context, not in the writing itself.
Repurpose deliberately. One solid article becomes several social posts, a newsletter section and talking points for a call. Planning the repurposing when you write the piece costs minutes; doing it later costs an afternoon.
Pick a cadence you can hold on a bad month, not a good one. If one piece a fortnight is realistic when work is busy, commit to that. You can always publish more; you cannot un-break a streak.
Review quarterly. Which pieces brought enquiries, which brought traffic that never converted, and which topics to do more of. A content system that never looks at its own results is just output.
